At the moment i am the owner of a real estate company named "AreYouBeingHoused" (a.k.a. Properti B.V.).
In the near future we want to develop sustainable prefab off grid housing for eco tourists in Spain. 

We used to invest in existing housing, mainly existing apartments with the aim of creating more value for rent. 
Since 2020, we don't want to be a competitor for starters in the housing market, among others. Our preference is to invest in the redevelopment of existing (vacant) buildings and new build housing projects. With the aim of creating more affordable sustainable housing and, if possible, with a social touch. This way, we try to reduce the housing shortage and give starters, care workers, teachers, newly divorced parents, needy young people and the elderly, a fair chance in the housing market. In 2021, we successfully completed 2 flats for newly divorced parents.

We have partnered with the www.parentshouses.nl foundation.

We are also exploring the following concepts. Namely social rental and sale with MVE conditions (Socially Responsible Ownership).

A mix with furnished luxury rentals is necessary for a healthy average return. This makes social real estate possible.

So we are looking for interesting properties to redevelop / repurpose / transform! Old schools, office buildings, churches, shops, business premises, sports, and industrial halls etc..

Born and raised in the village Berkel en Rodenrijs just North of Rotterdam. Son of a Dutch engineer and a Dutch-Indisch school teacher. In my teenage years, I attended Rotterdam schools and therefore spent much of my free time in Rotterdam. I played tennis and hockey at local clubs in Berkel.

In the 1980s I listened to music and read many books and magazines about cars.

In the nineties, besides sports and going out, I did a lot of sport fishing, fixed up mopeds to sell and later on I fixed up cars with friends  as a hobby. My first home was a refurbishment project and my 2nd home was a full-fledged renovation done entirely with my own hands. With the first home, the dream of starting my own real estate business had been born.
