Introduction
Hendrikus Josephus Anthonius (Henny) Huisman, born June 18, 1951 in Zaandam, is a Dutch television presenter, former drummer and former singer. He gained fame in the Netherlands as the presenter of the popular television programs Soundmixshow and Surpriseshow.

Henny Huisman was born as the son of Harmen Huisman and Elisabeth Maria Dijkstra and grew up in a Catholic family. After his education at the window dressing school, he started his career as a drummer, disc jockey and event presenter. Eventually he moved to television and made his name there.
Henny Huisman's musical career began in 1961, when, at the age of 10, he became a member of the guitar combo The Bright Stars, which also featured Margriet Eshuijs. After playing in the teenage band The Marileens for a few years, he moved on to more serious work in 1972. Together with two others, Huisman founded the Zaanse band Lucifer, in which he played the drums. The band was a guest on the television program Van Oekel's Discohoek on March 18, 1975, which was also Henny Huisman's first television appearance. After his departure from Lucifer, where Doe Maar drummer Jan Pijnenburg succeeded him, Huisman played in the band Match for a while. He also became active as a disc jockey in discos, which earned him an award as the best disc jockey. In 2014, Huisman was a guest artist during the Toppers concerts in the Amsterdam ArenA.
